Apropos (Bibelen Leth fortalt (Kristian Leth)) så læser jeg lige i dette øjeblik Paul Tillich, Systematic Theology 3 (den uovertrufne tredje bog - det 20 århundredes vigtigste religionsfilosofiske teologiske værk uden sammenligning). Apropos Bibelen skriver Tillich:
Every day, by its impact on people inside an outside the Church, the Bible proves that it is the Divine Spirit's most important medium in the western tradition.
But it is not the only medium, nor is everything in it always such a medium. In many of its parts it is always a potential medium, but it only becomes an actual medium to the degree that it grasps the spirit of men.
No word is the Word of God unless it is the Word of God for someone; nor is it unless it is a medium whereby the Divine Spirit enters the spirit of someone.
The Bible does not contain words of God (or as Calvin has said, divine "oracles"), but it can and in a unique way has become the "Word of God".
En sådan oplevelse har jeg lige haft. Nemlig opfordrede Paul Tillich mig til at læse de tre første kapitler af 1 Korintherbrevet - tre kapitler jeg er fortrolige med og skatter utroligt højt (især 1 Kor 2 - der er så jungianske at selv Jung har opdaget det) - nå jeg sætter mig så og læser disse tre kapitler i sammenhæng og det formidler the Divine Spirits Presence - the Divine Spirit Ecstatic enters or grasps my spirit.
Hansemandsi drengen høj af solskin og coffein og Gud Helligåndens Nærvær og Inspiration - hvad skal det så bruges til - al den guddommelige kosmiske energi kraft og inspiration? Cykling og barfodsløb på stranden!?
